FAQ’S
Contact US today to set up a free phone consultation. Click HERE to schedule a call. If you have a preferred therapist in mind, you may contact them directly. Otherwise we will assist you by placing you with a therapist who best suits your individual needs.
Session fees vary according to the unique training, experience, and qualifications of the therapist. During your phone consultation, we will discuss your specific fee responsibilities and payment options.
We offer a limited number of income-based sliding scale appointments. Reduced fee appointments are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are happy to discuss fees during your free phone consultation.
If we are unable to accommodate your budgetary needs, we are happy to provide additional referrals to sliding scale, community mental health clinics in the area.
We do not accept insurance. However, we are able to provide superbills which can be submitted to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your deductible and insurance policy.
To verify benefits with your insurance, we recommend calling your carrier directly and using the following script to gather information about your reimbursement rate:
“Hi, I’m interested in beginning psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider. What’s the reimbursement rate on my policy for out of network mental health providers? And what is the deductible I need to meet prior to reimbursement beginning on my policy?”
Sessions are 45-50 mins and take place weekly.
We provide psychotherapy for clients age 12+, teens, adults, couples, and families.
Our office has a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means you can change your appointment (canceling or rescheduling) without a charge up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. The fee for canceling with less than 24 hours is your full session fee.
Our in-person offices are located in Los Feliz, CA. We offer in-person sessions for clients who are fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
We offer virtual Telehealth (video) sessions to clients across California. We recognize that making consistent weekly in-person sessions may not be possible, and want to prioritize our clients’ ability to access services.
When providing virtual sessions, we use a HIPAA-compliant video conference platform.

Our Commitment to Minimize Exposure
Our practice has taken steps to reduce the risk of spreading the Coronavirus within the office and within our Los Angeles community. Please let us know if you have questions about these efforts, listed below.
Risks of Opting for In-Person Services
You understand that by coming to the office, you are assuming the risk of exposure to the coronavirus.
If You or I Are Sick
● You understand that I am committed to keeping you, me and all of our families safe from the spread of this virus. If you show up for an appointment and I believe that you have a fever or other symptoms, or believe you have been exposed, I will have to require you to leave the office immediately. We can follow up with services by Telehealth as appropriate.
● If I test positive for the coronavirus, I will notify you so that you can take appropriate precautions.
Your Responsibility to Minimize Your Exposure
To obtain services in person, you agree to take certain precautions, which will help keep everyone (you, me, and our families, and other clients) safer from exposure. If you do not adhere to these safeguards, it may result in our starting / returning to a Telehealth arrangement.
● You and everyone in your household (that is eligible) is fully vaccinated.
● You will only keep your in-person appointment if you are symptom free.
● If you have symptoms of the coronavirus, you agree to cancel the appointment or proceed using Telehealth.
● You will adhere to the safe distancing precautions we have set up in the waiting room and therapy room.
● If you have a job that exposes you to other people who are infected, you will immediately let me know.
● If a resident of your home tests positive for the infection, or is symptomatic, you will immediately let me know and we will then resume treatment via Telehealth.
● If you or any member of your household has recently traveled outside the U.S., you will immediately let me know and we will resume Teletherapy.
Office Safety Precautions
My office is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
● I am fully vaccinated and only meeting with fully vaccinated clients.
● Austin Air Filter in the waiting room.
● Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
● Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
● Areas that are commonly touched in office and common spaces are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
● Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, you may request an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
